Bashful's Take. This was a challenge for the SCBWI 2010 NYC conference. We had to re-imagine the Snow White story in some new way. The exaggerated perspective added some drama, I think.

This is my entry for the poster competition at last weekend's NESCBWI conference in Fitchburg, MA. The challenge was to pick a classic book to redesign a cover for.

I made this sketch for a NESCBWI poster competition a few years ago. And now it will be in a show of picture book art at the Danforth Museum in Framingham, MA from June 11 into August this year. The finished poster is already on my site if you're interested to see where it went.

I've been teaching myself how to add color to a scanned hand-drawn image. So I've used a sketch of two of the kids from my upcoming comic story, "Gumballs".
